Introduction. The citrus longhorned beetle, Anoplophora chinensis (Forster), is a polyphagous wood-boring cerambycid beetle that is native to East Asia .Its broad host range (plant species in at least 36 families) and ability to infest and kill living trees make this species an important pest in its native range, and a potentially devastating invasive species in other parts of the world . Introduction. The little-known genus Pseudoechthistatus Pic, was established based on a flightless species, Pseudoechthistatus obliquefasciatus Pic, from Dali, Yunnan, China. Later, Breuning () revised the genus in his revision of the Phrissomini and added two species, Pseudoechthistatus birmanicus from Myanmar and Pseudoechthistatus granulatus from Tatsienlou (Kangding), Sichuan.
